LIST: Alabama Republicans Overseeing Education Issues Who Take Teacher Union Money
30 GOP lawmakers on the State Legislature's education committees collected nearly $1 million from the AEA
As noted in my article yesterday, a transformative school choice bill is currently being decided by Republican lawmakers in Montgomery who received campaign contributions from the Alabama Education Association — a longtime opponent of school choice.
Below is the list of who they are and how much they have taken from the teacher's union.
They all sit on one or more of the State Legislature's education committees, which includes House Education Policy, House Ways and Means — Education, Senate Education Policy, and Senate Education — Budget.
State senators can be contacted here and the state representatives can be found here.

There are only six Republicans sitting on the education committees who haven't taken a dime from the AEA. They remind me of the cop who isn’t on the take, making the others look even worse by their example.

Damn, I can't figure how we can fight that kind of money unless we pass a law simular to FL that makes those who want to belong to a union, fine you write your dues check to them. No more automatic deductions fron a pay check..
